Standard Block Paving
Includes excavation, MOT Type 1 base, sharp sand screed, and standard block paving.

Is resin more expensive?
Many homeowners assume resin is vastly more expensive than block paving. As the calculator shows, the installation costs are actually very similar when comparing a full dig-out installation for both materials.
The true cost difference becomes apparent in year 3, year 5, and year 10. Block paving requires ongoing maintenance — pressure washing, re-sanding joints, and applying weed killer. Resin requires almost zero maintenance, making it significantly cheaper over its lifespan.
