How Resin Bound Works

In a resin bound system, the aggregate and the resin are thoroughly mixed together in a forced action mixer before being laid. This ensures every single particle of stone is coated in the clear polyurethane binder.

This mixture is then poured onto the prepared base and hand-trowelled to a completely smooth, flat finish. Because the stones are bound to each other rather than packed with sand, tiny voids remain throughout the surface.
