Amber Resin Bound — Woking 1960s Detached

Amber Resin Bound — Woking 1960s Detached

Replaced loose gravel with 55m² of Autumn Gold resin bound aggregate at a Woking detached. The drainage problem that had made the gravel section unusable in wet weather was resolved as part of the base build.

The Challenge

The central section of the existing gravel area had poor drainage and became a waterlogged mess after rain. Simply installing resin over the existing base would not have solved it.

The Solution

We excavated the central section, installed a channel drain running to the existing soakaway, and built a new MOT Type 1 base with a proper fall across the full 55m². Autumn Gold resin bound at 18mm was then laid across the prepared surface.

The Result

No more puddles. The homeowner told us that the worst spot had flooded after every heavy rain for three years and drained cleanly after the first real downpour following installation.

"They actually dug out the bad section rather than just covering it over. Worth every penny."

— Homeowner, Woking
