Laying Resin Over Existing Tarmac

If your existing tarmac driveway is structurally sound, we can overlay it with resin. This is the fastest and most cost-effective method of installation.

When it works

The tarmac must be monolithic (one solid piece), free from major structural cracks, and not suffering from subsidence. It must also have sufficient "fall" (slope) to allow water to run off, as overlaying an impermeable tarmac base means the resin surface will no longer act as a fully SUDS compliant system unless the water runs into a designated soakaway.

The Process

We thoroughly clean the tarmac, repair any minor surface defects with epoxy mortar, and apply a polymer primer. The resin is then trowelled directly onto the primed tarmac to a depth of 18mm.
