Cleaning a Resin Driveway
Resin driveways require minimal cleaning compared to block paving. Here is how to keep yours looking pristine.
Routine Sweeping
The most important maintenance is regular sweeping with a stiff yard broom. Removing leaves and organic matter before it breaks down prevents dirt from accumulating in the tiny voids between the stones.
Pressure Washing
You can pressure wash a resin driveway, but you must be careful. Use a fan nozzle (never a concentrated pinpoint jet). Keep the lance at least 20cm away from the surface. Use a maximum pressure of 150 bar. Blasting the surface with high pressure from close range can break the resin bond and dislodge stones.
Mild Detergents
For general grime, warm water and a mild household detergent (like washing up liquid) applied with a stiff brush is usually all that is needed.
