Small Driveway Costs (Under 30m²)
A small driveway is typically classed as anything under 30 square metres — usually enough space for a single car. When pricing a small driveway, you may notice that the cost per square metre is slightly higher than for a large driveway.
Fixed Costs Remain the Same
Installing a 20m² driveway requires the same fixed setup costs as a 100m² driveway. We still need to bring the vehicles to site, set up the forced action mixer, source the materials (often paying a premium for small batch deliveries), and pay the installation team for their day.
Because these fixed costs are spread over a smaller area, the rate per square metre increases. A full dig-out on a 20m² drive might sit closer to the £140-£150/m² mark, whereas the same specification on a 100m² drive would be £110/m².
Total Price is Still Low
While the rate is higher, the total absolute cost remains low. A small driveway is an excellent, affordable way to dramatically improve the kerb appeal of your home. Use our Cost Calculator to get an exact estimate for your dimensions.
